SIEMENS TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS BECOMES 300TH CUSTOMER TO CHOOSE
SINGLE SOURCE SERVICE BUSINESS SOFTWARE

and Siemens
Transportation Systems, Inc. (STS), Locomotive Service Division of Chicago, Illinois announce
Siemens' selection of SM-Plus™ as its new software system. Siemens will use SM-Plus to run its
locomotive service operation, particularly for work order management to collect data from the field
and consolidate it into the Siemens corporate back office system.

and integrity while providing significant time savings to the entire data processing effort. We plan to

access to accurate customer information for easier, better and faster decision making by our
employees for a positive impact on customer satisfaction and overall profitability."
SM-Plus is an integrated information system that manages and maintains both company-owned
and customer-owned assets. SM-Plus provides highly functional service business process support,
including call taking, scheduling and dispatch, field service, depot repair, work order management,
preventive maintenance, service contracts, purchasing, inventory control, and costing. All functions
seamlessly integrate to back-office financial and management reporting.
