SINGLE SOURCE RELEASES SM-PLUS™ 5.0 SERVICE BUSINESS SOFTWARE
ENHANCING PRE-BUILT INTEGRATION TO SAGE MAS 500 ERP

Indianapolis, IN – October 17, 2007 – Single Source Systems, Inc., an authorized Sage Software Master Developer Partner, announced that version 5.0 of its SM-Plus™ service management software for Sage MAS 500 ERP has been released for general availability. The new features and enhancements improve service management performance for end users and extend the pre-built integration to Sage MAS 500 ERP software.


Service Management Plus (SM-Plus), the service management software solution pre-integrated with Sage MAS 500 ERP, manages contact center incident tracking, resource scheduling and dispatch, field service, depot repair, expense tracking/reconciliation, service contracts and warranty tracking. Core SM-Plus features also meet internal enterprise asset management (EAM) requirements such as plant, fleet and facility preventative maintenance. Single Source also offers optional modules for wireless mobile field service and internet-based portals to support customer, dealer and employee self-service operations.

SM-Plus v5.0 for Sage MAS 500 ERP new features and enhancements include:

  • Service Parts MRP Integration allows the MRP module formula in the base MAS 500 application to now factor in Service Order material demand requirements.
  • Business Insights Explorer Integration enhancements improve service performance management by enabling users to “drill-down” into Incident, Unit, Contract and SRO related screens, using the standard MAS 500 Business Insights Explorer Tool.
  • Service Contract Revenue Amortization streamlines contract revenue recognition by spreading revenue evenly across accounting periods upon invoicing. Journal entries are automatically created in the MAS 500 recurring journal.
  • Services Commissions calculate sales commissions on Service Orders and Contracts upon invoicing–leveraging the standard MAS 500 commission architecture.
  • Team Scheduling allows service managers and dispatchers to group technicians to streamline scheduling and dispatching of multiple techs to the same job simultaneously.
  • Depot Service Order Staging provides a new screen for quickly creating Service Orders from an existing SRO Template saving time and reducing errors for users managing high-volume depot repair operations.
  • Rebuild/Rework Actual Costing rolls-up material and labor costs incurred on a Service Order for the purpose of capturing the true value of refurbished equipment for accurate profitability analysis when the equipment is sold.
  • Multi-Unit Service Order Generation allows for quickly creating Service Orders from SRO Templates for work on multiple installed units.
  • Split Third Party Service Billing now allows service invoices to be configured to display both the transactions being charged to the customer as well as non-billable transactions being charged to the manufacturer.
