Meet Chris, an Implementation Consultant at Single Source!

Have you met Chris? He's an Implementation Consultant at Single Source and has been with our company since May 2014. Prior to that, Chris spent many years as the IT Manager for Komax, an international wire processing manufacturer. While at Komax, Chris implemented SyteLine and Field Service. A huge Green Bay Packers fan, Chris's fantasy football team is called Cheeze Whiz, and he is currently #1 in the Single Source league! He and his wife Cathy have two grown children, Brandon and Heather. The family had a big summer leading up to Heather's wedding in September. Chris reports that he and Cathy are now broke and that he will be working many more years as a consultant.

What's your favorite part of your job?

Investigating process issues that customers are having and solving them within ISM and Syteline.

What's your philosophy regarding your approach to your work?

No J.E.L.L.Y. I learned this from one of my first bosses. It reminds me to look for a different way to do things. JELLY stands for Just Exactly Like Last Year. Don’t do things Just Exactly Like Last Year.

What's the most important career lesson you've learned?

No one has all the answers. Be humble. You have to know when to stop trying to solve a problem and when to ask for help.

Any cool client moments that stick out in your mind?

I was very gratified to see our consignment functionality which we developed as an add-on to ISM come to fruition. It’s great when you see product design and your vision actually go live at a customer site. Since my kids are grown up, it’s like my software baby.
