Infor considered a top software vendor

Ventana Research recently ranked Infor as a top vendor in its 2014 Value Index for Workforce Management (WFM), citing the service provider's ability to provide clients with mobile, analytics, and collaboration tools for their WFM needs.

Overall, Infor solutions received an index score of 87.5 percent from Ventana Research, which is among the highest-rated vendors analyzed in this space.

Mitri Dahdaly, human capital management director at Infor, said the results from the WFM index are a testament to Infor's understanding of the market and its clients.

"The current economic environment is forcing organizations to more tightly control labor cost without jeopardizing critical business goals, and our software provides the tools needed to take a more strategic approach to workforce management aligning labor demand with business goals," Dahdaly added.

Infor receives other accolades

Nucleus Research also awarded Infor high praise for its suite of solutions, specifically its LN and SyteLine tools. Rebecca Wettemann, research vice president at the firm, explained that Infor LN has advanced significantly in recent years, especially in terms of improving the user experience and integrating mobile applications, social collaboration, and analytics capabilities.

"Infor SyteLine moves into the Leaders quadrant in this Matrix for the first time, largely based on its advances in usability driven by the latest SyteLine release adoption of the new SoHo experience and the use of Infor Ming. le with embedded social collaboration and analytics," Wettemann added.

Mark Humphlett, enterprise resource planning (ERP) product and industry strategy director at Infor, noted that the fact that three of its solutions have garnered such high praise shows its commitment to helping businesses use the best available tools. Specifically, the vendor has extensive expertise in the manufacturing and distribution markets, helping organizations keep pace with rapid developments that impact their companies.

Infor may not be the biggest vendor on the market, but it continues to serve its clientele with systems that address their most significant challenges. All told, Infor solutions are used by tens of thousands of businesses worldwide, proving that the service provider has the resources to support firms in different industries.
