Single Source Systems Celebrates 40th Anniversary!

Just as technology has dramatically changed in the last 40 years, Single Source’s offerings have evolved, too. Today, Acumatica Productivity Tools and IncentViz for smarter commission management are among the flagship offerings. Long-time core principles have remained unchanged, including an emphasis on trust.

“Of course, the products and services we offer have drastically changed since the ‘80s when cloud computing and open-source apps for PCs were considered ground-breaking. The digital era brought a heightened focus on connectivity and automation. We were building a company in the midst of that technology transformation. We kept up with innovation but never lost track of underlying principles,” says Marty Rhodes, president. “We knew from the beginning that relationships would be critical to success. That hasn’t changed.”

Partnerships Based on Trust

Single Source has forged many critical long-standing partnerships in its 40-year history. As a development partner with Infor, Single Source provided the foundational functionality for Infor Service Management. Productivity Tools and IncentViz for smarter commission management are among the current offerings that integrate with Infor solutions. Single Source also works with Infor resellers, helping them with customer implementations, programming, consulting, and support.

Single Source also works with the Acumatica community, providing Productivity Tools (Agreement Designer and Questionnaire Designer) to boost time savings for Acumatica users. For Acumatica partners, Single Source provides Professional Services resources to help with deployments, enhancements, and ongoing support.    

The History

Single Source was founded by a young entrepreneur, Anthony Petrucciani, immediately after graduating from college. He focused on installation, implementation, and programming services. An early customer was a manufacturer that provided field service on its products. Petrucciani set out to learn field service inside and out, a decision that proved critical. Today, Single Source is highly respected for its expertise in field service management.

Marty Rhodes, today’s president, joined the company as a recent graduate in 1987. He helped to expand the products and services offered, bringing experience in project management and quality control. In a time when behemoth mainframe computers were the standard fare for businesses, Petrucciani and Rhodes, decided to focus on PC-based business applications, confident that the highly affordable PCs, peer-to-peer networks, and the “open systems” market had a promising future—especially as tools to help small businesses compete.

Growth and Success

These early insights proved to be spot-on and were pivotal in launching a successful journey in business solutions. The company grew, expanding, and evolving to meet changing needs.

Today, the company’s employees range from programmers and business analysts to project managers specializing in implementing ERP solutions. Single Source has perfected its Milestone Methodology and has successfully implemented hundreds of solutions for customers.
